The pre-bookings for the first-ever electric Mini are now open in India. The all-new Mini Cooper 3-Door SE will not only boast supreme performance but in addition to this, will also offer a fresh package to the buyers who were looking for something exclusive and new. The 2021 Mini Cooper Electric can be booked online for INR 1 lakh and will be powered by a 135kW motor. Here are all the details that you should know about this car.

For starters, the 2021 Mini Cooper electric will retain a similar exterior design as seen on other standard models and will be offered with a similar cabin as well. The features list too is similar to what we saw on the standard versions. The similarities between the two iterations of the car end here as the Mini Electric boasts a new powertrain. The car is powered by a 184 bhp motor that produces a peak torque output of 270Nm. The car sprints from 0-100 kmph in just 7.3 seconds and offer commendable driving dynamics, thus maintaining the legendary go-kart feeling with instant torque and zero emissions. The car gets no exhaust and reduces carbon footprint by a significant margin.

The motor is powered with a 32.6 kWh battery pack that is not only waterproof and damage proof but is well suited for Indian usage conditions. On a single charge, the battery pack helps the car boast a range of 270 Kms. More details on charging time however are awaited. Having said this, four unique paintwork colour options will be offered with the car. These include White Silver, Midnight Black, Moonwalk Grey, and British Racing Green. In addition to this, the car retains its iconic design and definitely looks premium and special on the roads. MINI has established nice authorized dealerships in India that will serve the customers. These include Bird Automotive (Delhi NCR), Bavaria Motors (Pune), EVM Autokraft (Kochi), Galoops Autohaus (Ahmedabad), Infiniti Crs (Mumbai), Krishna Automobiles (Chandigarh), KUN Exclusive (Chennai), KUN Exclusive (Hyderabad), and Navnit Motors (Bangalore).

The Mini Cooper Electric 3-Door SE will be sold alongside other cars in the brand's portfolio. Other cars on sale include Mini 3-Door Hatch, Mini John Cooper Works Hatch, Mini Convertible, and the locally produced Mini Countryman.
