Honda has finally launched the City facelift, one of the most demanded products in India. The pricing of the sedan starts from Rs. 11.99 Lakh to Rs. 20.99 Lakh (ex-showroom). The new sedan comes with a redesigned front, smoky taillamps, new features, and a significant tech upgrade. The new City aims to revive Honda's sedan sales at a time when buyers are increasingly inclined towards SUVs.
The fifth-gen City was originally introduced in India in 2020, and this is the second facelift of the generation. The 2026 version builds on that legacy with fresh design, enhanced convenience, and modern connectivity features suited for todays buyers. Honda: Design & Exterior

The 2026 Honda City now features a sharper, more aggressive front fascia. Redesigned connected LED headlamps and a new hexagonal grille give it a bold presence, with the Honda logo now positioned above the grille. A reworked front bumper adds to the modern styling, helping the City stand out on the road. The projector-based headlamps are integrated into the grille, and while fog lamps are absent, Honda says the headlamp intensity is sufficient.
The City's side profile remains mostly unchanged, retaining the strong road presence of the current generation. City has become the longest sedan in the segment with a length of 4594 mm, which makes the City more competitive. Honda has also introduced newly designed 16-inch blade alloy wheels. The rear profile of the 2026 City features smoked LED tail lamps with transparent glass, an integrated spoiler, and a sporty rear bumper with fins.
Interior & Tech

Inside, the new City blends practicality and technology. The cabin features a dual-tone black-and-beige finish with ambient lighting. It also comes with a 10.1-inch infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Other notable features include a single-panel sunroof, automatic climate control, ventilated front seats, a 360-degree camera, and a mix of USB Type-A and Type-C charging ports. However, the new City still lacks electrically adjustable front seats.
Engine & Transmissions

Honda has introduced a new hybrid engine option in the City with a two-motor e-CVT. It produces a power of 126 PS and a torque of 253 Nm, which has a claimed mileage of 27.26 kmpl. Honda continues to offer the 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol engine, producing 121 PS of power and 145 Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual with a claimed mileage of 17.77 kmpl and a 7-speed CVT automatic with paddle shifters and a claimed mileage of 17.97 kmpl.

It also comes with TPMS and Level 2 ADAS.
