Hyundai Alcazar Petrol AT 0-150 Kmph Acceleration Test - Is It Fast Enough? [Video]

Hyundai India recently launched the new Hyundai Alcazar three-row SUV in the country. The new Hyundai Alcazar is a three-row SUV based on the Creta and it has been priced between Rs 16.30 lakhs - Rs 19.99 lakhs, Ex-showroom Delhi. The Alcazar Petrol is currently the most powerful three-row SUV in India. But, how do the on-paper specs translate into real-world performance, we are gonna answer just that in this article. So, here we have the 0-150 kmph acceleration test run of the Hyundai Alcazar Petrol AT SUV.

Hyundai Alcazar Specifications

The new Hyundai Alcazar gets two BS6 compliant engine options in India. The first one is a 2.0-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine that churns out class-leading 159 PS of maximum power and 191 Nm of peak torque. It also gets a 1.5-litre diesel engine that churns out 115 PS of maximum power and 250 Nm of peak torque. Both the engines of this SUV come mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox and they get a 6-speed torque-converter automatic transmission too.

Hyundai Alcazar 0-150 mph Acceleration Test

Now, talking about the acceleration test run of the Hyundai Alcazar Petrol. So, we got behind the steering wheel of Alcazar's 2.0-litre petrol automatic variant. We performed three test runs with the SUV to make sure we churn out the best results from this potent engine. It needs to be mentioned that we performed this acceleration test of the Alcazar in the Sport mode and on an empty stretch of road, kindly do not imitate the same on public roads.

In our first trial run, the Alcazar Petrol AT sprinted from 0-100 kmph in just 12.47 seconds while the 0-150 kmph run was done in exact 27.00 seconds. In our second test run, we could manage to achieve 0-100 kmph in just 12.07 seconds while and 0-150 kmph in 26.27 seconds. Finally, it was time for the third and the last test run. In our final attempt, the Alcazar truly shined as it sprinted from 0-100 kmph in just 11.95 seconds and the 0-150 kmph mark was achieved in just 26.00 seconds. This is pretty quick for a three-row SUV.
