Kerala Police Adds 49 Force Gurkha 4x4 SUV In Its Fleet - Details

Force debuted their All-New Gurkha 4x4 SUV in September 2021, and delivery to customers began in October. On February 11th, 2022, the Kerala state police department added 49 Force Gurkha 4x4 SUVs to its fleet. These Gurkhas are built to the police department's strict standards, ensuring speed and stability on even the most difficult terrains. Force Gurkha 4x4 is one of the most capable and affordable 4x4 SUV available in the Indian market.

The vehicles are fitted with Force Motors' proven, tough, and dependable components such as engines and transmissions. The police vehicles are outfitted with high-intensity rooftop flashing lights, a siren, and the Kerala State Police Department's logo, as well as seating that can be customised to meet their needs. The Gurkha Police Vehicles will be used to patrol the border and protect the state from criminal activity.

Force Gurkha 4x4 Specifications

The Gurkha comes with a 2.6-liter, 91-bhp Mercedes-derived common rail, direct injection, turbocharged diesel engine under the hood. The All-New Gurkha features a redesigned body that is bigger and longer, new interiors, a new crash-complaint, high-strength C-in-C chassis, and a new coil spring suspension on all four wheels. The hydraulically operated clutch with the booster and 5-speed Mercedes G-28 gearbox with cable shift enable smooth gear changes. It also has the best manoeuvrability in its class, with a turning circle radius of only 5.65m.

The all-new Gurkha has the highest driving position in the class, as well as the best all-around visibility and the most window glass area. With the air intake snorkel and manually actuated, positive locking, mechanical differential locks on all four wheels, the Gurkha remains the most capable off-roader in its class.

The Force Gurkha 4x4 is priced at Rs 14.10 lakh after a recent price increase of Rs 51,000. Red, Green, White, Orange, and Grey are among the colour options for this three-door model. It is well-equipped for use by police officers.

Force Motors is also working on a larger Gurkha SUV with five doors, according to rumours. The larger Force Gurkha has recently been sighted testing on Indian roads.
