KTM has expanded its popular 390 lineup in India with the introduction of new 350cc versions of the KTM 390 Duke and 390 Adventure. New KTM 390 Duke, 390 Adventure: No Visual Or Feature Distinctions

Visually, there are no major changes between the 350cc and 399cc versions. The KTM 390 Duke continues with its aggressive streetfighter styling, sharp tank extensions, and exposed frame elements. The 390 Adventure maintains its rugged ADV stance, combining the design cues of the Adventure S with the alloy wheel setup from the Adventure X. It is available in Electronic Orange and Ceramic White, staying true to its dual-purpose character.
Both motorcycles retain the same feature set as the larger-capacity versions. This includes a 5-inch TFT display with smartphone connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, call and SMS alerts, and ride data. Riding modes remain unchanged, with the Duke offering Street, Rain, and Track modes, while the Adventure gets Street, Rain, and Off-road modes. Additional features like switchable traction control, cornering ABS, and a bidirectional quickshifter continue to be part of the package, ensuring no compromise on technology.

Engine & Performance
The biggest change lies where they draw the power from. Both motorcycles now use a 349.32cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine producing 41.5 PS at 8,600 rpm and 33.5 Nm at 7,000 rpm. Compared to the 399cc motor, this represents a drop of around 4.5 PS and up to 5.5 Nm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox, ensuring that the core riding experience remains engaging for both city use and highway riding.
Lower Pricing Than Before

The new 350cc KTM 390 Duke is priced at Rs 2.77 lakh, while the 390 Adventure comes in at Rs 2.81 lakh (both ex-showroom). This makes them roughly Rs 60,000- Rs 62,000 more affordable than their 399cc counterparts. The existing lineup continues with revised naming to differentiate them. The 399cc Duke is now called the 390 Duke R, while the Adventure range includes the X, S and R variants at higher price points. This will make it easier for buyers to make thier choice about what engine capacity they want to go for, without being forced to opt for a lower output.
Verdict
With the introduction of the 350cc variants, KTM has effectively broadened the appeal of its 390 lineup. These new models deliver most of the performance and features of the larger bikes at a more accessible price point, making them attractive to a wider audience. While the slight drop in power may not appeal to hardcore enthusiasts, the overall package still offers a strong balance of performance, technology and value. But if you still want more the punch it offered, the 399cc models will remain on sale alongside these baby models.
