Design and Exterior

The Lexus ES500e is based on the TNGA GA-K platform and adopts the brand's Clean Tech and Elegance design philosophy, inspired by the LF-ZC concept (next-generation EV concepts). The exterior features a signature spindle body design along with twin L-signature LED DRLs and a connected taillamp with an illuminated Lexus logo. The overall silhouette is sleek and aerodynamic, with a low-slung stance that enhances its road presence. In terms of dimensions, the sedan measures 5145 mm in length, 1920 mm in width, 1575 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2950 mm, ensuring ample cabin space.

Interior and Tech

Lexus ES500e offers a minimalist yet premium cabin focused on comfort and advanced technology. It comes equipped with a 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 12.3-inch digital driver display, complemented by a Mark Levinson surround sound system. Lexus has also introduced new Responsive Hidden Switches that blend seamlessly into the dashboard design. The cabin is further enhanced with ambient lighting, illuminated door trims and high-quality materials, and is offered in Hazel and White interior themes.

Power and Range

Powering the Lexus ES500e is a 74.68 kWh lithium-ion battery pack paired with an all-wheel-drive setup. The system produces 252 kW (337HP) of power and enables the sedan to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 5.5 seconds. The claimed driving range stands at up to 580 km on a single charge. The vehicle supports fast charging, allowing the battery to be charged from 10 to 80 percent in approximately 28 minutes using a 150 kW DC charger. The All-New ES500e introduces an industry-first 8-year/200,000 km warranty and includes both 2.8 kW portable and 11-kW home chargers. It also features Lexus DIRECT4 technology, which enhances traction, stability and overall driving dynamics. 

Features

On the feature front, the ES500e comes loaded with advanced safety and convenience tech. It is equipped with the Lexus Safety System+, which includes features such as pre-collision system, auto emergency braking, lane tracing assist, adaptive cruise control and blind spot monitoring. Additionally, the sedan offers a 3D panoramic view monitor to improve visibility. Convenience features include connected car technology with remote access to functions such as battery status and climate control, live vehicle tracking, auto door closure and a powered boot lid, enhancing the overall ownership experience.

Price and Variants

The Lexus ES500e has been introduced in India in a single fully loaded variant, priced at Rs 89,99,000 (ex-showroom). The electric sedan is offered in five premium colors; White Nova, Sonic Titanium, Graphite Black, Sonic Copper and Sou. Bookings for the electric luxury sedan are now open across Lexus dealerships in the country.
