Maruti Brezza Facelift Expected Changes: Subtle Yet Effective

On the outside, the changes appear evolutionary rather than radical. The Maruti Brezza facelift is expected to get newly designed 16-inch alloy wheels, along with a revised front grille featuring a thicker chrome strip. The front bumper has been tweaked as well, now incorporating a silver skid plate and repositioned LED fog lamps, while the LED headlamps are likely to remain unchanged. Similar updates are expected at the rear, including a redesigned bumper and additional chrome detailing to enhance visual appeal.

One of the most significant updates appears inside the cabin. Spy images suggest that the facelifted Brezza could feature a larger 10.25-inch infotainment screen, replacing the current 9-inch unit. This upgrade is expected to come with a revised user interface and improved functionality. Additionally, elements visible around the ORVMs hint at the presence of a 360-degree camera system, likely reserved for higher trims. While the current model already offers this feature, the updated version could bring improvements in clarity and usability. A refreshed interior theme is also expected, giving the cabin a more premium feel.

Mechanical Updates: New Gearbox, Same Engine

Under the hood, major changes are unlikely, with the Brezza facelift expected to continue with the familiar 1.5-litre K15C petrol engine offered in multiple configurations, including a naturally aspirated version, a CNG variant, and a mild-hybrid setup. However, a key update could be the introduction of a new 6-speed manual transmission, which is likely to offer improved gear ratios and better driving efficiency. Additionally, there are indications that Maruti Suzuki may consider introducing the 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine from the Fronx, producing around 100 PS and 147.6 Nm, which could add a stronger performance edge and widen the SUV's overall appeal.
