In April 2022, Maruti Suzuki launched the facelift of its best-selling MPV, the Ertiga. The Maruti Ertiga is the market leader in India's CNG MPV sector, and according to media reports, the Ertiga's CNG lineup may be expanded. The Ertiga CNG comes in three models: VXI, ZXI, and Tour M. Maruti Suzuki may release three new models, dubbed VXi(O), ZXi(O), and Tour M. (O).

It's possible that the optional versions will receive certain feature enhancements over the standard variations, but it's unclear what those updates would be. On the other hand, the 2022 Ertiga includes cruise control, a one-touch window up with an anti-pinch driver window, auto headlamps with follow me home feature, electrically powered auto-folding ORVMs, and Suzuki Connect car tech. In the S-CNG vehicles, a CNG-specific speedometer is also available. Aside from that, the MPV now includes up to four airbags and electronic stability control (ESP).
When it comes to the 2022 Ertiga's powertrain, the MPV received a new engine with the upgrade, and it now has a new next-generation K15C Smart Hybrid engine. The engine is a 1.5-litre NA petrol engine with 102 bhp of power and peak torque of 136.8 Nm. The CNG models produce 99 bhp of power and 136 Nm of torque in petrol mode, and 88 bhp and 121.5 Nm of peak torque in CNG mode.

In addition to the engine, the transmission has been modified. The 5-speed manual transmission is standard on both the petrol and CNG variants, although the petrol variants can also be ordered with a 6-speed automatic transmission. Paddle shifters are also available behind the steering wheel on automatic transmission models for manual operation.
The 2022 Maruti Ertiga is available in four different versions: LXi, VXi, ZXi, and ZXi+. The price of Maruti Suzuki Ertiga starts from Rs. 8.35 lakhs to Rs. 12.79 lakhs. CNG is available on the VXi and ZXi variants, which cost Rs. 10.44 lakhs and Rs. 11.54 lakhs (ex-showroom), respectively. The new Ertiga is available six colour options, including two new colours: Splendid Silver and Dignity Brown.
