Just recently Mercedes-Benz upgraded the C-Class with an all-new 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine in the line-up. And now, Mercedes has upgraded the E-Class and brought in a top-spec diesel variant, E350d BS6 and its price start at Rs 75.29 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.

This powerful diesel engine is a re-introduction into the E-Class line-up. The 3.0-litre, in-line six-cylinder unit produces a whopping 286 bhp at 3400-4600 rpm and a maximum torque of 600 Nm at 1200-1300 rpm. Transmission is mated to a 9-speed automatic gearbox and 0-100 km/h sprint is covered in flat 5.7 seconds. The top speed for this trim is 250 km/h.
This 350d is the same BS6 diesel engine which first made its debut the Mercedes S-Class. And fast forward, it is seen in the G350d and GLE400d. Sharing details about the previous 350d engine which was first launched in 2017 churned out 258 bhp and 620 Nm of torque.
The 350d is the only trim from the Mercedes E-Class line-up that gets air suspension. With this feature, you can increase the ground clearance by 25 mm in case of bad roads and vis-a-vis decrease it to the lowest when you want agility in driving and to improve the dynamics.
Being the top of the line trim, the E350d enjoys all the creature comforts. It comes with features such as 360-degree camera, larger 18-inch wheels, open-pore black ashwood trim, memory function which works for both seats and the steering wheel, wireless charging for front and rear-seat passengers, Burmester surround system and among others.

The prices of Mercedes E-Class starts from Rs 59.09 lakh and goes up to Rs 75.29 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. This specific Mercedes E350d stacks up against BMW 530d, 630d GT and Audi A6.The Audi A6 is only available in a sole 2.0-litre petrol engine.
