In the season of price hikes, the list is just getting longer. While the same started back in April 2023, some manufacturers reserved it for a later date. One was Tata and the other, was MG. Now, MG Gloster is yet another addition to the list. With a price hike of up to Rs. 60,0000, the newly revised list is out from May 2023 onwards.

The Super Automatic variants have been discontinued from the Gloster line-up as mentioned in the price chart. Where the Sharp 7-seater Automatic trim registers a hike of Rs. 60,000, the Savvy variants continue to retail at their previous price tag without a change.

Coming to the 2.0-liter twin-turbo diesel unit, like the Sharp variants, this one also retains its previous price chart. The twin-turbo diesel unit retails at Rs. 42,37,800 ex-showroom.
Powertrain
There are 2 engine options with the MG Gloster SUV. A 2.0 liter 2WD Turbo Diesel churning out 160 PS power with a peak torque of 373.5 Nm of torque. The next option is a 2.0-litre twin turbo diesel 4X4 unit that produces 215 PS power with a maximum torque of 478.5 Nm.
VERDICT- The single price hike of Rs. 60,000 was registered only in the Sharp variant on the 2.0-litre turbo diesel 4X2 unit. All the other variants on both engine options continue with their previous price tags, which is a good thing for prospective buyers.
