Skoda Octavia vRS owns a sweet spot in the heart of the Auto Enthusiasts. It is the only true-blue performance-oriented sedan in India in the sub-40 lakh price bracket. The Czech car manufacturer launched the new 2020 Skoda Octavia RS 245 in India at the 2020 Auto Expo at a price of Rs. 35.99 lakhs, Ex-showroom. It was brought to India as a CBU and only 200 units were allotted for the Indian market. The bookings for this hot four-door saloon began on March 1 and the entire batch sold out in just no time. But, what if we tell you that you can still get a hold of it? Yup! That's possible.

A Chennai-based car dealer called DG Luxury Cars is dealing in it and from our interaction with the dealer, we came to know that the dealership has now only one RS 245 left which is finished in Blue colour, 'Race Blue' in Skoda's words. We also asked about the price and it is sold at a sticker price of Rs. 39 lakhs, Ex-showroom which is around 3 lakh rupees premium than Skoda's official Ex-showroom price. Moreover, one also has to pay transportation charges which in our case from Chennai to New Delhi would have cost us an additional 40,000 bucks.
Talking about the specs of 2020 Skoda Octavia RS 245, it is powered by a BS6-compliant 2.0-litre TSI turbo petrol motor that churns out a whopping 245 PS of power and 370 Nm of peak torque. The engine comes coupled to a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission. The 2020 Octavia RS 245 can sprint from 0-100 kmph in just 6.6 seconds while the claimed top speed is rated at 250 kmph. Compared to the older Octavia vRS, the new RS 245 develops an additional 15 PS of power and 20 Nm of torque.
The new Octavia vRS is very feature-loaded too and it gets an all-black interior with red stitches, a panoramic sunroof, nine airbags, Alcantara leather RS upholstery, 12-way electrically adjustable drivers and co-drivers seat, dual-zone climate control, virtual cockpit driver display, ambient lighting, handsfree parking, and more. It also gets an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity.
