Next-Gen Jeep Compass Images Leaked; Details

The new Jeep Compass seems to take inspiration from the Avenger and the Grand Cherokee, featuring a slightly more squared-off design compared to its predecessor. The traditional 7-slot grille has been retained, and it features an integrated light bar similar to what we just saw on the Skoda Kodiaq not too long ago. The bonnet also seems flatter and there is a healthy amount of cladding used all over the body.

From the side, the new Compass also seems to have been straightened up, with a flatter, more upright yet muscular stance, and the dual-tone treatment on the pillars further helps its aesthetics. The square wheel arches have also been retained, and in terms of wheel sizes, we can expect the new Compass to retain 17-inchers, but with new alloys of course.

The rear comes with a new tail lamp treatment, a new tailgate, and there is a healthy usage of cladding on the bumper. The tail lamp treatment is unlike what we have seen on other Jeep cars before, and there is also a full-length light bar treatment as well.
Built on the new STLA-M platform, the new Compass will be produced in Italy, and while the specifiacations are yet to be revealed, Jeep has confirmed there will be mild-hybrid, strong-hybrid, and even all-electric powertrains.

The interios of the new Compass have also been revamped significantly, with a new dashboard. The new infotainment screen appears to be wider and larger than before, and it also lets go of a conventional gear lever, making do with a rotary gear selector instead.
With Jeep confirming its production to take place in Italy, and the current-gen Compass slated to continue till 2027, chances of the new Compass being launched here appear rather. However, we have done a separate story on why it should come to India.

Verdict
Jeep India plans to carry on with the current-gen Compass till 2027, which appears similar to what Renault did with Duster, which will make it look very dated. The new Compass, if launched here, may help Jeep with volumes to an extent.
