The upcoming Skoda Octavia RS has already created quite a buzz in the performance sedan space. Just days after bookings opened for a token amount of Rs. 2.50 lakh, all 100 units allocated for the Indian market have been fully booked. The official price reveal is slated for October 17, while deliveries are scheduled to begin on November 6. Skoda Octavia RS: A Sporty Sedan Amidst The Sea Of SUVs

On the outside, the Skoda Octavia RS flaunts a sporty aesthetic with gloss black detailing on the grille, mirror caps, and window surrounds. Signature RS bumpers, black exhaust tips, a rear spoiler, and 19-inch alloy wheels further enhance its aggressive road presence. Customers can choose from five paint finishes: Mamba Green, Candy White, Race Blue, Magic Black, and Velvet Red. Inside, the Octavia RS carries forward its performance DNA with a premium, driver-focused cabin. The front sport seats are upholstered in Suedia and leatherette, featuring heating, massage, and memory functions. Red contrast stitching, carbon-finish inserts, a black headliner, and a flat-bottom steering wheel add to its sporty character.

The tech package is comprehensive, with a 32.77 cm touchscreen infotainment system supporting wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 26.03 cm Virtual Cockpit, and a 675 W Canton audio system with 11 speakers and a subwoofer. Powertrain & Performance

At the heart of the new Octavia RS lies a solid 2.0-litre TSI turbo-petrol engine producing 265PS and 370 Nm of torque. Mated to a 7-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic gearbox, the power is sent to the front wheels, allowing the sedan to sprint from 0-100 km/h in just 6.4 seconds, but the top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h.

As for its launch, it is slated for October 17, where the price will be revealed, which is expected to be around Rs. 50 lakhs, courtesy of its CBU route.
