Unlike last time with the price announcement of the Harrier EV, we now finally have information about both battery packs. The car continues to be offered with two options, and while we discussed the 75kWh unit already, we will go over it briefly again, since the all-wheel drive version is available solely with the bigger battery pack. It comes with an MIDC-claimed range of 627km on a single charge, and it can be charged either via a 15A charger, a 7.2kW AC wallbox charger, or a 120kW DC fast charger. The DC fast charger takes a claimed 25 minutes for a 20-80% charge, while 10-100% charge from the 7.2kW AC charger takes a claimed 10.7 hours.

In terms of performance, the Harrier EV packs a dual electric motor setup, with one motor placed on each axle, producing 155bhp and 234bhp respectively, along with a cumulative torque figure of 315Nm. The Harrier EV claims to cover a 0-100kmph run in a claimed 6.3 seconds, but the top speed remains unspecified.

Although not available with the all-wheel drive version, the 65kWh battery pack comes with an MIDC-claimed range of 538km on a single charge, and much like the 75kWh battery, the 65kWh unit can also be charged with either a 15A socket or a 7.2kW AC charger, while DC charging capacity is set at 100kW. A 10-100% charge via the 7.2kW setup will take a claimed time of 93. hours.

In terms of the interiors, the Harrier EV aligns with the rest of Tata's EV lineup, bearing the familiar dashboard treatment, the new steering wheel with the illuminated Tata logo and a 10.25-inch instrument cluster with a similar UI as the Curvv EV and the Nexon EV. Features-wise, the Harrier EV comes with auto park assist, summon mode, reverse assist, level 2 ADAS, boost mode, 6 terrain modes, a 14.53-inch Samsung Neo QLED touch screen infotainment system, a blind view monitor, an digital IRVM with an in-built dashcam, a 540-degree camera, automatic climate control, 7 airbags, multiple voice assistants, an 8-way adjustable driver's seat, a 4-way adjustable co-driver's seat with boss mode and a lot more.

Verdict

The Harrier EV has an outrageous-looking equipment list, followed by equally outrageous performance numbers going for it. With prices fully out now, it remains to be seen how the Harrier EV counters competition from the likes of the Mahindra XEV 9E and other closely priced combustion-engined cars.
