Tata Nexon, Curvv, Sierra and Harrier EVs, Now Available with BaaS

Tata Motors has announced that it will offer their entire electric vehicle line-up with Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS). With this step, buyers will be able to get more financial flexibility for buying electric vehicles.

BaaS was earlier available on the entry-level electric cars like Tiago EV and Punch EV. It now extends to Nexon EV, Curvv EV, Sierra EV and Harrier EV.

Under this scheme, the battery cost is separated from the upfront vehicle price and financed independently, lowering the initial cost of buying the electric vehicle. Customers choosing BaaS will get the same product experience, technology and ownership support as other buyers.

The vehicle and battery are financed through separate loan accounts with flexible tenures. The battery EMI varies with battery size, down payment and tenure, and excludes charging, maintenance, repairs and other associated costs. Tata has also partnered with multiple financiers to offer the product.

The BaaS option cuts the prices of every model with a significant amount. Starting from the entry-level hatchback, the Tiago EV, it cuts Rs. 2.30 lakh and most expensive electric car, Harrier EV has a cut of Rs. 7.30 lakh.
