The Maruti Swift fourth-gen, ever since its launch has been a hot seller. So much that, it clocked 10,000 bookings even before its launch and soon clocked 40,000 after its launch in a short span. With the love that it gets in the Indian market, the waiting period of July will give you a sigh of relief. If you book the Swift in July, you are looking at a waiting period of up to just 3 weeks.

Feature List Gets More Bling
The redesigned Swift features a completely revamped dashboard layout, offering an array of new features compared to its predecessor. This latest model incorporates modern features like a larger touchscreen infotainment system with wireless connectivity for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It also introduces conveniences such as wireless charging, integrated connectivity features, cruise control, rear AC vents, rear wiper and washer, all-power windows, electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs, rear USB charging ports, and more. Safety is enhanced across all variants with standard features including six airbags, three-point seatbelts for all passengers, Hill Hold Assist, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, and an Electronic Stability Program (ESP).

More Fuel Efficient Than Before!
The 2024 Swift introduces a new mild-hybrid powertrain featuring a 1.2-liter, three-cylinder Z Series petrol engine, tuned to deliver 81.58 PS power and 112 Nm of torque. Available with a 5-speed manual and AMT transmissions, the engine goes big on fuel efficiency with minimal power trade-offs. The AMT variant achieves an impressive mileage of 25.75 kmpl, while the manual version offers 24.80 kmpl, marking a significant 14% increase for the AMT and a 10% improvement for the manual gearbox. These enhancements are well-received by Indian consumers, despite a slight reduction in power compared to the previous 89 PS engine.

Verdict
With the demand that Maruti Swift currently enjoys, the waiting period is pretty reasonable, even when compared across segments. And why not, it gets you the mileage, is peppy to drive, now focuses more on safety, and the cabin offers a richer experience.
