TVS Apache RTX 300: Powertrain

TVS Apache RTX 300

Powering the all-new Apache RTX 300 is a 299cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine (RTX D4). The motor generates 35 hp and 28.5 Nm of torque, mated to a six-speed gearbox equipped with a slipper and assist clutch. This setup ensures smoother shifts, reduced clutch effort, and enhanced control during spirited downshifts.

The engine is tuned to deliver strong mid-range torque and linear power delivery, making it equally comfortable for everyday commuting and long highway rides. The brand also claims refined throttle response and improved vibration control, resulting in a smoother, more enjoyable touring experience.

TVS Apache RTX 300: Hardware

The Apache RTX 300 stands tall on a new steel trellis frame, designed to offer stability, durability, and agility in equal measure. The adventure-ready suspension setup includes inverted (USD) front forks and a rear monoshock,

The bike rides on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels, wrapped in dual-purpose tyres. Braking duties are handled by petal-type disc brakes at both ends, paired with dual-channel ABS for assured stopping power. TVS has also added switchable ABS and traction control, enhancing the bike's versatility for off-road adventures.

Design Language

TVS has given the RTX 300 a rugged yet contemporary aesthetic, combining aggressive lines with purposeful design. The motorcycle features a tall windscreen, sleek LED headlamp, and a signature beak-styled front fender that give it a bold, adventure-oriented stance. The large sculpted fuel tank, wide handlebar, and split-seat setup ensure long-distance comfort for both rider and pillion.

Adding to its touring credentials is an integrated luggage rack, engine bash plate, and knuckle guards, offering both functionality and protection during long rides. The riding triangle has been optimized for an upright, relaxed posture, minimizing fatigue during extended touring sessions.

Inside the cockpit, riders are greeted by a full-colour TFT instrument cluster with crisp graphics and seamless Bluetooth connectivity. The system supports turn-by-turn navigation, call and message alerts, and ride telemetry, all accessible via the TVS SmartXonnect app. Riders can also switch between multiple ride modes to tailor throttle response and traction based on terrain.

Price and Rivals

Priced at Rs. 1.99 lakh (ex-showroom), the Apache RTX 300 sits in direct competition with the KTM 250 Adventure, Royal Enfield Scram 440, and Yezdi Adventure. However, its combination of refined power delivery, electronic aids, and touring comfort makes it one of the most well-rounded options in the segment.
