Design

The RTX 300 clearly communicates its dual-purpose intent - comfortable for long-distance touring, yet agile enough for mild trails. Expect a tall front stance with a prominent windscreen, beak-like fender, twin LED headlights, and muscular tank shrouds that lend it a commanding road presence.

Spy sightings and teaser glimpses also confirm a split-seat setup, a bolt-on subframe, and an upswept exhaust that enhances its adventure character. Interestingly, TVS seems to have retained the signature sportiness of the Apache family, giving the RTX 300 a distinct identity among its rivals.

TVS RTX 300: Engine

TVS RTX 300

At its heart will be TVS's newly developed 299cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine - internally codenamed the RT-XD4. First showcased at MotoSoul 2024, this motor is expected to churn out 35PS and 28.5Nm, paired with a 6-speed gearbox and slipper clutch.

Given TVS's reputation for packing advanced electronics into its motorcycles, the RTX 300 could feature multiple riding modes, traction control, cruise control, and even a bi-directional quickshifter, offering a well-rounded performance package for both highway touring and city commutes.

TVS RTX 300: Hardware and Dynamics

Built around a steel trellis frame, the RTX 300 will likely come equipped with USD front forks and a monoshock at the rear. From the test mules, the front suspension units appear to be gold-finished, hinting at premium hardware, while the rear monoshock could offer preload adjustability.

The bike will ride on a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel setup, wrapped in dual-purpose tyres, making it more of a road-biased ADV that can still handle light off-road trails. Braking duties will be handled by disc brakes at both ends, supported by switchable dual-channel ABS.

TVS RTX 300: Tech and Features

The RTX 300 will inherit the modern TFT console seen on the Apache RTR 310, complete with Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, music and call alerts, and smartphone-based customization through TVS SmartXonnect. The teaser hints also point toward a fully LED lighting setup, including headlights, indicators, and tail-lamp.

TVS is also expected to offer a wide range of touring accessories, such as panniers, crash guards, and taller windscreens, allowing buyers to tailor the bike to their adventure needs.

Expected Price and Rivals

TVS is expected to position the RTX 300 at around Rs. 2.50 lakh (ex-showroom), placing it directly against the KTM 250 Adventure, Suzuki V-Strom SX, and the Yezdi Adventure. Deliveries are likely to begin around Diwali, perfectly timed for the festive buying season.

Verdict

With the Apache RTX 300, TVS is set to tap into the growing mid-capacity adventure touring space with a machine that promises sharp design, advanced tech, and the reliability that Apache fans swear by. If TVS gets the pricing right, this could very well become one of the most exciting ADVs in its class.
