Yamaha Motor India has today finally launched the all-new Yamaha FZ-X in the country. The FZ-X is an all-new motorcycle from Yamaha in India after a really long time. This retro motorcycle was highly anticipated and today it has finally made its official debut. The price of the new Yamaha FZ-X starts in India at Rs 1.17 lakhs, Ex-showroom Delhi. Here are all the details about it.
Yamaha has launched the new Yamaha FZ-X in India in two variants. The base variant doesn't get any connectivity features while the top model gets Yamaha's Motorcycle Connect feature. The base variant has been priced at Rs 1.17 lakhs while the range-topping trim has been priced at Rs 1.20 lakhs. All the prices stick to Ex-showroom Delhi. The motorcycle is available in 3 colour variants. They are - Matt Copper, Matt Black and Metallic Blue shade.
The new Yamaha FZ-X shares its mechanicals and underpinnings with the Yamaha FZ-S. This retro motorcycle is powered by a BS6 compliant 149cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, fuel-injected engine. This BS6 motor churns out 12.4 PS of power at 7250 RPM and 13.6 Nm of peak torque at 5500 RPM in the FZ-X. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The FZ-X gets disc brakes at either end with a single-channel ABS. For suspension duties, it gets telescopic front forks and a mono-shock absorber at the rear.
The new Yamaha FZ-X has a long feature list. The retro motorcycle gets an all-LED circular headlamp with a new slim LED taillamp and one can even choose LED turn indicators as an accessory. Talking about features, it gets an all-digital instrument cluster that shows a ton of information. The digital cluster is compatible with a smartphone via the Yamaha Y-Connect app. Using this, one can check the bike's mileage, last parked location, mobile battery status, malfunction alert, and even access call and SMS alerts.
So, this was all about the new Yamaha FZ-X. This retro motorcycle will rival the 160cc premium sporty commuters and even the Hero Xpulse 200 and the Xpulse 200T.
