2020 Aprilia Storm 125, Vespa Facelift BS6 Launched in India - All Details

Piaggio India has just launched not one or two but five new scooters in the Indian market. The company has launched the new 2020 Aprilia Storm 125 and Vespa Facelift BS6 range. If you remember, just a few days ago, Vespa India revealed the new Vespa SXL and VXL Facelift. The new facelifted Vespa scooters get cosmetic changes as well as mechanical upgrades. The new Aprilia Storm 125 also sports some add ons. The prices of these new Vespa and Aprilia scooters start from Rs. 91,321, Ex-showroom Pune. Here are all the details about it.

First of all, starting with the price of these scooters, so the new Aprilia Storm 125 is priced at Rs. 91,321. The Vespa VXL 125 Facelift is priced at Rs. 1,10,373 while the Vespa SXL 125 Facelift is priced at Rs. 1,14,204. Talking about the powerful 150cc Vespas, so the Vespa VXL 150 Facelift is priced at Rs. 1,22,693 while the Vespa SXL 150 Facelift is priced at Rs. 1,27,008. All prices stick to Ex-showroom Pune. The bookings for the new facelifted Vespas and the Aprilia Storm 125 are already open. One can book them online via the company's official website or by visiting your nearest dealership by paying a token amount of 1,000 rupees. Moreover, one can also avail benefits worth Rs. 2,000 by booking the scooters online.
Now, talking about the changes, so the new facelifted Vespas get an all-LED headlamp with integrated daytime running LEDs. Vespa calls this new headlight system as Crystal Illumination LED headlight. The Vespa scooters now also get USB mobile charging port, boot light and an adjustable rear suspension for better comfort of the rider as well as the pillion. It gets front telescopic forks. The braking duties are performed by drum brakes at the rear. While at the front, the 150cc Vespas get a disc brake as standard with single-channel ABS. One can choose between a disc/drum on the front for the 125cc Vespas and they also get a combined braking system (CBS).

The Aprilia Storm 125 now gets a 220 mm, twin pot calliper disc brake at the front and also a new digital instrument cluster that complements its exciting riding experience. At the rear, it gets a 150 mm drum brake which is assisted by a Combined Braking System (CBS). The 125cc Vespas and the Aprilia Storm 125 are powered by a BS6-compliant 124.45cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, fuel-injected engine. This motor churns out 9.79 PS of power at 7500 RPM and 9.60 Nm of torque at 5500 RPM. These are gearless scooters and so they come mated to a CVT.

Also, the Aprilia Storm 125 rides on 12-inch black alloy wheels with wide cross pattern tyres. It gets unique styling with bold and attractive body graphics and it mostly attracts the young enthusiastic riders. The Storm 125 BS6 is offered in four different colour variants. Talking about the powertrain of the 150cc Vespas, so the new Vespa VXL 149 and SXL 149 gets a more powerful engine. These scooters are powered by a BS6-compliant 149.5cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, fuel-injected engine that develops 10.32 PS of power at 7600 RPM and 10.60 Nm of torque at 5500 RPM.
