Now, as we all know, Jeep Compass was once (and it is still) a very popular SUV in the Indian market. The Compass was first launched in India in the year 2017 and the SUV became an instant hit. However, it's been more than three years and the Compass has not received any major update yet. Also, with the launch of the new SUV's like the MG Hector, Tata Harrier, Kia Seltos, new Hyundai Creta, etc., the sales of the Jeep Compass has taken a big toll. But, soon things are going to change, and for good! A few weeks ago, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) unveiled the new 2021 Jeep Compass Facelift at the Guangzhou International Motor Show in China. Now finally, the facelifted Compass is coming to India!

As per the media reports, it was earlier about to be launched in India on 23rd January 2021, but now Jeep has officially teased the image with a date which hints that it might be launched in India on January 7, 2021. Talking about the changes, so the India-spec version of the new Compass Facelift will get a minor nip and tuck to enhance its aesthetic appeal. At the front, this mid-size SUV will get a blacked-out version of Jeep's signature seven-slat grille with subtle chrome accents and some minor tweaks on the front bumper. It will also get re-designed headlamps with LED DRLs and new LED fog lamps. The new facelifted Compass will get newly designed alloy wheels and the company will offer the SUV in new colour shades too.

The new Compass Facelift will also get an all-new interior. Taking the centre stage of the dashboard will be most likely an all-new and bigger 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system. It will be compatible with both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and it will get Jeep's latest UConnect 5 software too. The Compass was already very feature-loaded and with the facelift, Jeep is expected to offer even more features in the SUV. Talking about the engine options, so the mechanicals of the SUV will remain completely identical to the pre-lift model. This means that the new Jeep Compass Facelift will be powered by a BS6-compliant 2.0-litre multi-jet diesel engine. This motor will churn out 170 PS of power at 3750 RPM and 350 Nm of peak torque between 1750-2500 RPM. This engine will be paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox and a 9-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
