2022 Tata Tiago EV Bookings To Open On Oct 10 From Rs 21,000 - Most Affordable EV In India

Tata will commence the bookings of their recently launched EV, Tiago EV on October 10, 2022. Bookings of the electric hatchback can be done from as low as Rs 21,000 across all Tata dealerships and even on their official website. The deliveries of the same will start from January 2023.

Tata Tiago EV is priced from Rs 8.49 lakh to Rs 11.79 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. This price is applicable to the first 10,000 buyers, however, out of this number, the first 2000 are reserved for the existing Nexon EV and Tigor EV owners.

Powering the Tiago EV are two battery packs - 19.2 kWh and 24 kWh. The former pumps out a peak power and torque of 60 bhp and 110 Nm, respectively. The 0-60 kmph sprint is achieved in 6.2 seconds and this is offered with a 3.3 kW wall box charger. The battery can be juiced up from 10% to 100% in just 5.1 hours. The driving range according to MIDC sticks to 250 km only.

The bigger and better 24 kWh battery pack pumps out 74 bhp of power with a peak torque of 114 Nm. This one gets two chargers - a 3.3kW wall box for base trims and a 7.2kW AC charger for higher trims. The former takes about 6.4 hours to fully charge the battery from 10% to 100% while the 7.2kW takes just 3.6 hours.

0-100 kmph spring is well achieved in just 5.7 seconds while both battery packs support fast charging. With the help of a DC fast charger, the batteries can be charged from 10% to 80% in just 57 minutes.

Feature-wise, Tiago EV gets a touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, digital instrument cluster, power folding ORVMs, projector headlights, LED daytime running lights, fog lights, cruise control, push buttons start/stop and more.

It will be the first in its segment to offer best-in-class connected features as standard across all trims, that are usually offered in more premium cars. The Tiago.ev has received a phenomenal response from our customers. Most of the queries have been on the 24kWh battery pack variant, and we have prioritised its production to meet the customer requirement.
