2023 KIA Seltos facelift is spied on test run for the first time in India. The updated SUV will get new design & more tech-laden features.
It's been an instant hit since KIA launched the Seltos SUV in India. The feature-packed SUV comes with enormous engine options. Catering the buyers with a varied budgets; KIA Seltos is one of the best-selling mid-size SUVs in the country. Now, KIA is eyeing upgrading the current model & testing of the new car is already ongoing globally. Now, for the first time in India, the 2023 KIA Seltos facelift is spied testing. Could this mean the launch is nearing?

The test mule of the upcoming facelifted Seltos is already being spotted internationally. We presented to you the story of a recent test mule spied equipped with ADAS equipment. That varied test car belonged to South Korea. Now, the Indian test car seems a bit different as compared to the global test car. First of all, it is heavily camouflaged but there are no visible changes from the current Seltos. The alloy wheel design seems similar to the current mid-variants. Also, the body shell & design is almost the same.

So, what's different then? Well, the facelift will embrace new LED headlights & taillights. Also, the top-end variants will have a new alloy wheel design. The shell design is suspected to remain the same as it is just a facelift. The important part is the addition of new tech-laden features. The upcoming Seltos is expected to bring the ADAS; which the rivals have started offering already. Along with this, a new dashboard design, a new steering wheel, & a new infotainment system along with a bigger screen can be expected. We anticipate that features as such the driver's heads-up display will also mark their entrance with the new car.

However, reports suggest that KIA will discontinue its diesel lineup globally soon (maybe by the end of this year). But, as this is going to be a facelift only, we do not expect that for the Indian model. This means the current 2 petrol & 1 diesel engine will continue to be offered. KIA is known for its versatile variant options; which will remain the same with the upcoming Seltos as well.
The launch of the new car is expected sometime in the first half of 2023. The launch will take place after the launch of the 2022 Hyundai Creta facelift. Both the Korean cars compete against the rivals like the MG Hector, MG Astor, Tata Harrier, & Mahindra XUV700.
