At the India unveil event of the 2023 C40 Recharge, Volvo shared that bookings and pricing details will be disclosed in August 2023. The official launch date has been rescheduled to September 4, 2023, with bookings remaining open in August. Deliveries are expected to start in September 2023 as originally intended. The C40 Recharge is a coupe version of the XC40 Recharge with updated features. It closely resembles the XC40 Recharge, except for the rear portion. The car includes stylish LED headlamps with Thor-hammer inserts and rides on 19-inch alloy wheels.

The rear of the vehicle showcases a redesigned look, with a sloping roofline, vertical taillamps, a contrasting gloss black spoiler, and plastic cladding on the rear bumper. These elements combine to give the C40 Recharge a distinctive and modern look.

2023 C40 Recharge: Estimated Price, Powertrain, Features, And Rivals

The C40 Recharge is expected to be priced at around Rs. 58 lakhs (ex-showroom). Its 78kWh battery pack powers a dual electric motor system, producing an impressive 402bhp and 660Nm of torque. The claimed driving range is 418km. With a 150kW fast charger, the C40 can be charged from 10% to 80% in just 27 minutes.

Fully electric Volvo XC40 introduces brand new infotainment system

The car's interior boasts a stylish black-themed cabin with a nine-inch Android-based portrait touchscreen infotainment system, a fully digital instrument cluster, a wireless charging pad, and a panoramic sunroof. Safety and convenience are prioritized with features like a 360-degree camera, rear cross-traffic alert with brake function, blind-spot monitor, and adaptive cruise control.

The C40 Recharge is set to compete with other electric vehicles like the Kia EV6 and the Hyundai Ioniq 5 in the market.
