Ashok Leyland 12M Ultra Low Floor CNG Buses Launched

Popular commercial vehicle manufacturer, Ashok Leyland, the flagship company of the Hinduja Group, has launched the 12M Ultra Low Floor CNG buses. The first 10 units of the new low-floor bus have been supplied to IndiGo (InterGlobe Aviation). The budget airlines will be seen using these new buses at the Delhi Airport.

It is worth mentioning here that the Hinduja Group-owned Ashok Leyland is the largest supplier of specialised tarmac buses to InterGlobe Aviation (IndiGo) for use at the New Delhi airport. The newly launched buses feature Ashok Leylands BSVI iGen6 H Series CNG engine that produces a maximum power of 216 hp. As per the commercial vehicle manufacturer, the new engine will deliver optimized performance, while the new bus will provide the user with improved safety and a higher comfort level. Also, the user of the new buses is even bound to benefit from reduced maintenance costs.

Speaking on the launch of the Ashoke Leyland 12M Ultra Low Floor CNG bus, Sanjeev Kumar, Head  M&HCV, Ashok Leyland, these 12M Ultra Low Floor BS-VI CNG buses with automatic transmission and full air suspension are a part of the companys expanding alternative fuel products range. The buses have been developed by our in-house R&D team that has introduced many industry-leading innovations in the mobility space. We will continue to roll out more such innovative products and solutions in line with the market demand, which will help us in our journey to achieve our vision of being among the Top 10 CV makers in the world, he added.
