Mahindra SUV Likely To Cost More Soon

Mahindra & Mahindra is signaling potential price revisions across its entire vehicle lineup, meaning that buying a Mahindra SUV could soon be heavier on your pockets. Despite a general sales dip among major competitors like Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai in June 2025, Mahindra recorded an impressive 18% year-on-year growth, solidifying its position as the second-highest selling automaker in May. Mr. Nalinikanth Gollagunta, CEO of Mahindra's Automotive Division, confirmed that the company is closely monitoring inflation and rising input costs, indicating that any price adjustment will be a measured response to the broader economic climate.

This sustained momentum is largely attributed to strategic launches, including the XUV 3XO, Thar Roxx, and the new electric duo, XEV 9e and BE 6, which have successfully complemented best-selling SUVs like the Scorpio, XUV700, and Bolero. With a robust pipeline of new-generation SUVs, both electric and internal combustion, anchored by an upcoming new platform, Mahindra anticipates a healthy 15-20% growth in FY26. Furthermore, addressing concerns about rare earth shortages, Mr. Gollagunta assured a proactive approach, with robust inventories and active exploration of alternative suppliers to de-risk their EV production supply chain. The company is currently producing 4,000 monthly units of its top-tier EV variants and plans to introduce more affordable options before the festive season, maintaining a 5,000-unit monthly operational capacity.

Concurrently, the Vision.T concept will also debut at the 'Freedom_Nu' event, with strong indications that it represents a further evolution of the Thar.e concept showcased in 2023, signaling Mahindra's aggressive push into future mobility.

However, the quantun of hike or the timeline is still something that in not known at the moment. Rest assured, the brand is prepping for some really intersting reveals on August 15, which is when they introduce their latest products each year.
