Citroen Aircross Comfort Edition: What's New?
The biggest update with the Citroen Aircross Comfort Edition comes inside the cabin. The Aircross Comfort Edition now gets Metropolitan Beige leatherette upholstery as standard across all Comfort variants, making it one of the few SUVs in its segment to offer premium seat upholstery right from the lower trims. Citroen has also added adjustable front and rear headrests, along with improved interior finishes featuring soft-touch surfaces and silver accents depending on the variant. Apart from the new upholstery and interior enhancements, Citroen is also offering a range of optional Comfort Packs that allow customers to tailor the SUV according to their requirements.
The YOU Pack focuses on adding essential comfort and convenience features. It includes a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, reverse camera with guidelines, fog lamps, wheel covers, and additional styling elements. The PLUS Pack adds features such as a wireless charger, reverse camera, and exterior styling enhancements. Meanwhile, the MAX Pack is aimed at buyers looking for a more premium experience. It bundles JBL speakers with an amplifier, along with front, cabin, and rear dashcams. Interestingly, the dashcam setup also brings predictive safety functions such as front collision alerts, lane change warnings, pedestrian collision alerts, and vehicle departure notifications.
Engine Options Remain Unchanged
Mechanically, the Aircross Comfort Edition remains identical to the standard SUV. Entry-level You variants continue with the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 82hp and paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The Plus variant can be had with either the naturally aspirated unit or a more powerful 110hp 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. Buyers opting for the top-spec Max trim get the 110hp turbo-petrol motor along with a choice of either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque-converter automatic gearbox.
Does It Offer Better Value?
The Aircross has always been known for its spacious cabin and comfortable ride quality, but some buyers felt that the feature list lagged behind rivals. The Comfort Edition appears to address that concern by introducing several convenience and premium features that many customers were already adding through aftermarket accessories. For buyers considering an Aircross, the Comfort Edition offers a more complete package straight from the showroom. Features such as leatherette upholstery, reverse camera, wireless smartphone connectivity and upgraded audio equipment improve the day-to-day ownership experience without altering the SUV’s core strengths of practicality and ride comfort. While the mechanical package remains unchanged, the additional equipment helps the Aircross feel more contemporary and better equipped.
Prices for the Citroen Aircross Comfort Edition start at Rs 9.09 lakh (ex-showroom) for the You MT variant. The range extends to Rs 9.99 lakh for the Plus MT, while the top-spec Plus Turbo 7-Seater MT is priced at Rs 11.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
