Citroen has formally announced the introduction of an automatic variant for the Citroen C3 Aircross. SUV, set to hit the market on January 29, 2024. Exclusive details on the pricing for this model, are anticipated to be disclosed later this month. Interestingly, the C3 Aircross was launched with a single powertrain option.

Pre-bookings for the automatic C3 Aircross have started at select dealerships with an initial amount of Rs. 25,000. The upcoming version will be available in two variants Plus and Max. The transmission will be managed by a six-speed torque converter automatic gearbox, providing customers with a range of options to suit their preferences.
Currently, the Citroen C3 Aircross is powered by a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that produces 109bhp and 190Nm of torque.
The vehicle comes equipped with notable features, including a 17.78cm IntelliSmart TFT Cluster, a 26cm infotainment screen supporting wireless Android Auto" & Apple CarPlay, and an Advanced Tech Suite featuring ESP, Hill Hold, TPMS, and Engine Stop/Start. The My Citroen Connect app enhances the ownership experience by providing access to 38 smart features, enabling remote operations such as door lock/unlock, positioning lamps on/off, and immobilization.

The highest-tier Max variant presently comes with attractive offers, amounting to Rs. 1.75 lakh. This comprises substantial cash discounts of up to Rs. 1,50,000 and exchange bonuses totaling Rs. 25,000. In parallel, the Plus variant is eligible for benefits up to Rs. 1.50 lakh, encompassing cash discounts of up to Rs. 1,10,000 and an exchange bonus of Rs. 40,000. Verdict
The SUV until now comes with a single powertrsain option with just a manual transmission. With the introduction of an automatic gearbox, it will open a big chunk of the market, where an auto option is one of the main choice filters.
