Citroen C3 Aircross Automatic: Fuel Efficiency Figures Out
The ARAI-verified fuel efficiency figures are out following the launch of the much-awaited Automatic variant of C3 Aircross. With this configuration, it claims a mileage of 17.6 kmpl. Notably, it comes in a sole petrol engine option. But how does it fare against its rivals when we talk about the economy? Let's find out.

In fuel efficiency, the Citroen C3 Aircross AT falls behind its VW, Skoda, and Hyundai rivals. The Skoda Kushaq and Volkswagen Taigun, sharing the same Aisin-sourced 6-speed automatic gearbox with 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engines, outshine the C3 Aircross in this aspect. Interestingly, the C3 Aircross surpasses the Honda Elevate, equipped with a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated engine and CVT gearbox.
Engine: Torqued Up
The automatic variant of the C3 Aircross is driven by the identical 1.2-liter turbo-petrol engine found in the standard SUV. It delivers the same 110hp but boasts an additional 15Nm of torque, totalling 205Nm. Earlier, the C3 Aircross was only available with a manual transmission.
Verdict
The mileage figure when compared to its rivals, sits in the same ballpark. However, when compared to the strong hybrids, that is a differnt story altogether. Although, with this addition, it opens a whole new section of buyers, who filter out the options based on the availability of an automatic transmission.
