Citroen India has initiated pre-bookings for its mid-size SUV, the C3 Aircross, in the Indian market. The company has also disclosed the introductory starting price for the SUV, which commences at Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Prospective buyers can secure their bookings either at La Maison Citro뮠showrooms across the country or via the official Citro뮠India website by submitting a token payment of Rs 25,000.

Citroen C3 Aircross
The recently launched Citroen C3 Aircross boasts a length of 4,323mm and provides two seating options: a standard 5-seater configuration and a versatile 5+2 option, which includes removable third-row seats. In terms of design, it showcases a front grille finished in glossy black with Citroen's signature chrome lining, accompanied by dual LED daytime running lights (DRLs). When examining the SUV's sides, standout features include roof rails, blacked-out outside rear-view mirrors (ORVMs), pentagonal-shaped diamond-cut alloy wheels, and blacked-out pillars. At the rear of the vehicle, you'll notice LED taillamps that gracefully extend to the sides of the car.
The SUV is equipped with a cutting-edge collection of user-friendly technology features, including a standard 7-inch Intelli-Smart TFT Cluster, a 10.25-inch Citroen Connect 35 system with wireless compatibility for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and My Citroen Connect. Additionally, it includes the Standard Advanced Tech Suite, which consists of ESP (Electronic Stability Program), Hill Hold, TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System), and Engine Auto Start/Stop functionality.
To enhance customer comfort, the brand has incorporated an advanced comfort suspension with a 'Flying Carpet' effect, complemented by a roomy interior and an industry-leading wheelbase measuring 2671mm. Additionally, it offers 511 liters of boot space (5-seater) and generous second-row knee and headroom.
Citroen C3 Aircross Engine
The C3 Aircross is driven by a 1.2L GEN 3 Turbo PureTech 110 Engine, which delivers a power output of 110 PS and peak torque of 190 Nm. It is paired with a 6-speed transmission.

Verdict
Citroen India has adopted an aggressive pricing strategy for the SUV. While the majority of mid-size SUVs begin at prices exceeding Rs 10 lakh, the C3 Aircross starts at just Rs 10 lakh. This places it in direct competition with SUVs such as the Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Volkswagen Taigun, MG Astor, and others. The standout feature of the C3 Aircross is its versatility, offering a 7-seater option, which could prove to be a significant draw for prospective buyers.
