This Hyundai Tucson rival will carry a powerful 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine under the hood. This hood generates piping hot 174 bhp with a peak torque of 400 Nm. This unit is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and the ARAI certified mileage sticks to 18.60 kmpl. Is it the fuel-efficient one? Well, we can only find that out in our upcoming fuel efficiency video.
The Citroen C5 Aircross carries French design all over and gets those fake air dams with the red highlights on the front, side and rear. It doesn't look bad rather it gives the SUV a distinct look all around. The raised sculpted bonnet really gives it an aggressive look and the dual-beam LED headlight make it a looker. 18-inch alloy wheels comprehend the looks.
Even though the origin of C5 Aircross is based in France, the cabin inside carries a rather funkier look. It gets rectangular AC vents, a larger touchscreen infotainment system, soft-touch plastic material and leather treatment continues on the steering wheel, dashboard panel, door panel and more.
It hosts a larger 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 12.3-inch instrument cluster, air purifier, panoramic sunroof, foot-operated electric tailgate, air purifier, ambient lighting and the USP being three individually adjustable rear seats.
Price and Competition
Well, as per speculations the starting price of the C5 Aircross is expected at Rs 28 lakh. In our opinion, it is quite high and we believe if it is priced lower then the sales will definitely be higher. Upon its launch, the C5 Aircross will rival Hyundai Tucson, Jeep Compass and Volkswagen Tiguan Facelift.
