The electric vehicle market is seeing gradual growth in the country thanks to the rapid EV infrastructure development. The introduction of different schemes and policies have also increased the number of EV buyers in India. At this juncture, with the introduction of subsidies that benefit both the customer as well as the seller, EV makers are now introducing new products.
Among the wide variety of EVs in the country, Ampere Electric has also rolled out a new electric scooter. Ampere Electric has launched an EV named Magnus EX that is priced at Rs.68,999 (ex-showroom). The new scooter rolls of the factory floor with advanced features and has an efficient long-range battery pack. According to the ARAI, the new Magnus EX claims a battery range of 121kms per charge.
Ampere also stated that the new Magnus EX comes with a detachable and portable lightweight and advanced lithium battery pack. The brand claims that the battery pack can be easily charged with any 5-amp socket at home, coffee shop and office.
The e-scooter gets a powerful 1200-watts motor. The said motor is also considered as one with the highest motor capacity in its segment. The motor can easily help accelerate from 0 to 40kmph in just 10 seconds, giving it an edge over many of its rivals. In addition to all this, the e-scooter is presented with two riding modes- super saver eco-mode and peppier power mode.
As stated earlier, the scooter comes packed with features like LED headlights, keyless entry, antitheft alarm and vehicle finder function. Apart from these, the e-scooter also provides a legroom space of 450mm and an aesthetically designed wide seat for comfort. Ampere electric has also introduced the e-scooter in three different paint schemes- Metallic red, Graphite black & Galactic Grey.
