Hyundai Bayon pre-bookings have started today, and the amount is Rs 11,000. Interested customers can visit the company's official site and book it. Hyundai India announced this news today via their social media posts, and customers are showing great interest in this SUV. Currently, there is very limited information about the Bayon, except that this car will be placed between the Venue and Creta, and its length will be above 4 meters. What else can we expect? Hyundai Bayon Launch Time
The Bayon is expected to launch around Diwali 2026, and pre-bookings have already started, and by now Hyundai has given multiple teasers revealing its exterior design elements, such as inverted L-shaped DRLs, a 17-inch alloy wheel design, and a glimpse of the rear profile. In a few days, we'll get to know more about this vehicle. Before that, here are some obvious things that potential buyers should know - Bayon is built on the Hyundai-Kia K2 platform, which is shared by the new Venue, Creta, Exter, and Kia cars like Seltos and Sonet.
So, expect a 5-star rating at the Bharat NCAP crash test, 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX child seats, front and rear parking sensors, all four disc brakes, and level-2 ADAS. On a safety front, this SUV is going to be fully loaded and, for obvious reasons, like coming from a Hyundai plant.
The second important detail is that this car will be positioned between the Venue and Creta, and with a length above 4 meters, it attracts the higher 40% GST slab. It also gets a spacious interior with good enough legroom and shoulder room. More importantly, based on the photos and the older generation Bayon, it's a crossover rather than an SUV, so it is coming to provide a different experience than Venue and Creta. We can expect a more luxurious interior with much focus on rear seats, like the same Kia did with Syros.
Third, the powertrain inside can be a 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol engine, a 1.0L turbo petrol, or a 1.5L diesel engine, so a mix of Creta and Venue. After all, Bayon is going to be a middle child.
