KTM RC 200 Gets New Grey Color Tone
KTM as a whole entity is struggling to stay afloat with some hiccups in the overall operational finances and other underlying factors, but the brand is determined to offer the best it can. In the same line of action, it is the KTM RC 200 that now gets a new Metallic Grey paint job that now retails alongside the existing Black and Blue options. This comes after the brand introduced a price hike with the RC 200, and the new shade comes at the same price with no additional premium. Apart from this, the bike continues without any updates. Powering the motorcycle is a 199.5cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that meets OBD-2B emission norms. It delivers an output of 25PS and 19.2Nm, and is mated to a 6-speed transmission. For braking, the bike features dual-channel ABS, adding a safety layer for the challenging times.

The motorcycle continues to be underpinned by a split-trellis tubular frame, offering a sturdy and agile chassis setup. Suspension duties are handled by 43mm USD forks at the front and a 10-step adjustable monoshock at the rear, both sourced from WP Apex. Braking hardware includes a 320mm front disc with radially mounted calipers and a 230mm rear disc with a floating caliper. With this setup, the bike offers a saddle height of 835mm and tips the scales at 160kg kerb weight, making it a pretty solid performer in the entry level supersport segment.

Verdict
The new colour addition is a nice touch that the brand has gven its most affordable supersport, and given the tough times that they are going through, they need every fighting chance they get. Coming back to the RC 200, it directly rivals the Yamaha R15, which is a pretty solid seller and its about time, KTM gives it a proper upgrade where it gets a slip n assist clutch, an updated TFT console, and other add-ons to attract more buyers.
