The Mahindra BE 6 SPORTEQ has been teased ahead of its launch on 15th August 2026. The teaser points to a triple-screen layout on the inside and a matte finish paint job on the outside, though Mahindra hasn't confirmed full details yet.

This will be the fourth version of the BE 6 to hit Indian roads. It follows the standard model, the limited-run Batman Edition, and the Formula E edition. Here's everything we know about the SPORTEQ so far, based on the teaser and what Mahindra is expected to reveal on launch day.

What The Teaser Reveals

Despite running just 20 seconds, the teaser hints at several changes coming with this iteration. Chief among them is the triple-screen layout, with three 12.3-inch displays across the dashboard. Consequently, the front passenger gets a dedicated screen for entertainment, separate from the driver's and the central display.

Alongside this, the cabin upholstery looks set to change too. Here, the teaser shows a beige leather theme, marking a shift away from the sportier black cabin on the current BE 6 towards a more premium, luxury-leaning feel.

Moving to the exterior, the confirmed change is a matte paint finish, which sets the SPORTEQ apart from the standard car and the Batman and Formula E editions. Additionally, the ORVMs get a thin red strip running across them, a small styling touch that adds some visual distinctiveness.

So far, these are the changes confirmed by the teaser. Beyond this, Mahindra is expected to reveal the rest on 15th August.

As for the powertrain, no change is expected there. Instead, the BE 6 SPORTEQ should continue with the same 59kWh and 79kWh battery pack options as the standard car. Here's how the two compare:

The BE 6 SPORTEQ could well slot in as a new top-end variant, with pricing expected to start around Rs 24.50 lakh. That would place it above the current top trim, in line with the added kit on offer.

This move also fits a pattern seen across the industry. Over the past months, BE 6 sales have cooled off, with buyers gravitating towards the XEV 9S and XEV 9e instead. Both those SUVs offer more practical, family-friendly packaging, while the leans harder into a driver focused, enthusiast appeal.

It's a familiar trend in the car business. Whenever a model's sales start slipping, it tends to get the most new variants and updates, as the brand looks for fresh ways to pull buyers back in. The SPORTEQ may well be Mahindra's answer for the BE 6.
