The Mahindra Marshal was first launched in the Indian market in 1998 and became one of the highest-selling vehicles in the brand's lineup. The Mahindra Marshal was offered as a spacious and a reliable vehicle with tremndous build quality. With this being said, in our this sequel of the Walking Down The Memory Lane, we bring you the Mahindra Marshal brochure images. The Mahindra Marshal has a very simple and an elegant design language. The long hood upfront with the slated grille and round headlamps gave it a distinctive front fascia while the side profile looked subtle. The overall design looks simple and the build quality too was extremely great. The Mahindra Marshal was a well built vehicle and gained popularity because of its bullet proof reliability..

Powering the Mahindra Marshal was a 2.5-L MDI3200 A diesel engine that delivered a peak power output of 58 hp while the peak torque output stood at 161 Nm. This engine came mated to a 4 speed gearbox which was operated using single dry plate type clutch. In addition this, the Marshal also featured a 4WD drivetrain with dedicated high and low gear ratios. The suspension setup on the other hand consisted of semi-elliiptical leaf springs with hydraulic double acting telescopic shock absorbers at front and rear.

Moreover, the 2000 model of the vehicle also featured direct injection, vacume assisted booster brakes for effective braking and a new instrument panel with lockable glove box. The brand also boasted improved steering system, new generation chassis, improved suspension setup, and electro chemically treated body shell for protection against rust with the new Mahindra Marshal.
