Design And Interior

Based on recent spy shots, it appears that the overall silhouette remains similar to the XUV 700. While certain EV-specific design cues differentiate it from the ICE version. At the front, it features inverted L-shaped headlamps along with a blanked-off grille, keeping the electric nature alive. However, on the side, it closely resembles the ICE version with those flush door handles, while the dual-tone aero alloy wheels set it apart.

On the inside, the XEV 7e is likely to step up the game in the segment with a cabin layout inspired by its elder sibling, XEV 9e. It is expected to add some premium elements like a two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated logo, a sophisticated dual-tone theme, piano-black accents, etc. While on the features front, it might include powered and ventilated front seats with memory, multi-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, and even remote auto-parking features.
Battery And Launch Timeline
The XEV 7e is likely to offer the same battery pack options: 59kWh and 79kWh, giving out a claimed range of 500-600 km. It is expected to come up with a rear wheel drive setup, while an AWD setup can also be on the cards. While the Mahindra remains tight-lipped about the launch timeline, the XEV 9e is expected to arrive by late 2025, positioned between the BE6 and the XEV 9e.
