MG Windsor EV Indulge Edition is an upcoming limited-unit edition of the Windsor that celebrates two years and 80,000-plus sales of the car. MG India put up a teaser of it yesterday, which didn’t reveal anything except the name. Today, all the pictures of the car, both interior and exterior, have leaked on the web, and they also show what extra features it will bring. So, in this piece, let us take you through each leaked photo and specify all the new changes in the MG Windsor EV Indulge Edition.
MG Windsor EV Indulge Edition
Exterior
The overall silhouette of the SUV remains the same, with the only change being the new colour, which we believe is Champagne Gold or Warm Beige Metallic with a hint of bronze. This does look special and suits the upcoming limited-unit edition. Also, we see black alloy wheels in the same 18-inch size with a diamond-cut finish. Plus, the roof and ORVMs are all gloss black. Moreover, on the rear quarter glass we see “Indulge” badging, a special touch to mark its uniqueness. Otherwise, there is no design change or anything different from what comes with the standard Windsor EV.
Interior
This space is where the changes are substantial, as MG has changed the seat upholstery from black to dual-tone seats of Light Tan and black upholstery, which not only look and feel rich but also create a sense of airiness. Also, what is seen here is that the front seats will have a neck cushion and most probably the embodiment of Indulge Edition on every headrest. At the rear seats, we see two pillows placed, which just translates to this car prioritising its high comfort factor.
Now, another major addition we see is that the rear passengers will have their own dedicated screen placed on the roof, just like the BMW 7 Series, and we believe the screen size will be the same as the front infotainment screen, at 15.6 inches. Also, the standard Windsor EV models come with a fixed glass roof, but the upcoming Indulge Edition will feature a compartment on the roof to make space for this screen. But there will still be a fixed glass roof, and front and rear seat passengers can see the sky up there. So, this edition will feature a lot of luxurious features. Lastly, the door panel design will be in a bronze finish, and even the ambient lights will be in the same colour.
Battery Pack and Range
The Indulge Edition will be the top-spec variant and is most likely to be priced at Rs 20.50 to Rs 21 lakh (ex-showroom). This car will feature the larger 52.9 kWh battery pack with a claimed range of 449 km. Launching it ahead of the festive season is a great decision, as car sales increase rapidly during this period.
