New 2020 Skoda Rapid 1.0 TSI Official TVC Out - Experience It, Believe It!

Skoda Auto India Private Limited has recently launched the new 2020 Skoda Rapid 1.0 TSI in India. The Czech car manufacturer launched it in an all-digital event along with the new Superb Facelift and the Karoq SUV. The new Skoda Rapid Facelift looks extremely elegant and gets plenty of features too. Most importantly, it gets a punchy yet frugal turbocharged petrol engine. In fact, Skoda has priced it so aggressively that it is now the most affordable car with a TSI engine in the country. Skoda has just released its official TV Commercial Ad and invites you to test drive and experience this new affordable performance mid-size sedan.

Skoda says that the new 2020 Skoda Rapid 1.0 TSI is terrifically powerful and extremely fuel-efficient. However, the prospective buyers won't believe it until they drive it as everything cannot be experienced online. Thus, Skoda is inviting you all to test drive this affordable performance saloon so that you can experience it and believe it.

Talking about the mechanical specs, earlier, the Rapid was available with a 1.6-litre petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. However, Skoda has ditched both these engines and instead plonked in a new powerful 1.0-litre TSI engine. This new 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol motor churns out 110 PS of power and 175 Nm of peak torque. The engine is coupled to a 6-speed manual gearbox and Skoda will introduce an automatic transmission too very soon.

The ARAI-certified fuel-efficiency of this new Rapid 1.0 TSI with the manual gearbox is rated at 18.9 kmpl. This means that it is around 23 per cent more fuel-efficient compared to the older 1.6-litre petrol motor. The new Rapid Facelift also gets plenty of features inside the cabin. It gets an upgraded 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. Moreover, the Onyx version of the Rapid gets dual-tone Tellur Grey leatherette upholstery as standard.

The new 2020 Skoda Rapid 1.0 TSI is available in multiple colour shades. Skoda has also introduced a new base variant called Skoda Rapid 'Rider' which offers terrific value for your money. The prices of the new Rapid Facelift range between Rs. 7.50 lakhs - Rs. 11.79 lakhs, Ex-showroom Delhi. It rivals against other mid-size sedans which include the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Hyundai Verna, Honda City, Volkswagen Vento and Toyota Yaris.
