The dealer dispatches of the new Duke 125 have already commenced. The all-new 2021 KTM Duke 125 BS6 has started arriving at all the KTM dealerships across the country. Here, we have a First Look Video of the new KTM Duke 125 that highlights its new exteriors, features and triple-tone colour options. Let's have a look.
We all know the Duke 125 is currently the most affordable KTM motorcycle one can buy in the Indian market. The KTM Duke 125 was first launched in India in November 2018. We all have been complaining that the Duke 125 has now lost its charm as it's been more than two years and the Baby Duke has not received any significant update yet. But, no more craving as KTM has given the Duke 125 a comprehensive update. The Duke 125 for the year 2021 gets completely new exteriors, new paint schemes and also some new features. What remains unchanged though is its BS6-compliant powertrain.
The all-new 2021 KTM Duke 125 BS6 gest KTM's latest design language. The soon to be launched new Duke 125 borrows its sharp design cues from the recently launched BS6-compliant Duke 200. Earlier this year, the Duke 200 also got a significant update with new mechanicals and cosmetic overhaul. KTM is now passing on the same treatment to the Baby Duke. The new KTM Duke 125 gets a re-designed sharp headlamp with KTM's signature daytime-running LEDs. Also, the motorcycle continues to get all-LED turn indicators and LED taillamps. The motorcycle also gets new triple-tone colour options.
Talking about the colour options on offer, the new KTM Duke 125 BS6 gets two new colour options and they are Orange with White & Black and Black with White & Orange. The motorcycle gets new cycle parts with bold cuts and creases on the body panels, new tank extensions and new seats. The new seats on the Duke 125 are completely identical to the one we see on the Duke 200, 250 and the 390. Also, the trellis frame of the motorcycle is now finished in orange and black shade and the alloys are also finished in black colour. All in all, the new KTM Duke 125 BS6 looks much better than before.
The new Duke 125 also gets a new LCD instrument cluster and it resembles the one we see on the Duke 200. As we have already mentioned before, the mechanicals of the motorcycle remains unchanged. The new KTM Duke 125 continues to be powered by the same BS6-compliant 124.7cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine. This BS6 motor churns out 14.5 PS of maximum power at 9250 RPM and 12 Nm of peak torque at 8000 RPM. The engine comes mated to a six-speed manual gearbox. For suspension duties, it gets USD or upside-down forks at the front and a mono-shock absorber at the rear. The braking duties on the motorcycle are performed by large disc brakes at either end and it gets a single-channel ABS too.
Finally, talking about the price, so the official price of the new motorcycle has not been revealed yet. But, the KTM dealerships have revealed that the new Duke 125 will charge a premium of around 6,000 - 8,000 rupees over its predecessor. The Duke 125 BS6 is currently priced at Rs. 1.42 lakhs and so we expect the new 2021 KTM Duke 125 to be priced around Rs. 1.50 lakhs, Ex-showroom Delhi. The official launch of the motorcycle will take place in the coming days. What are your thoughts on this new KTM Duke 125? Do share your opinions with us in the comments section below.
