New Bajaj Pulsar Teased; RS200 Update Or An RS400?

The Bajaj Pulsar; there's just no need for an introduction or a background to this nametag, which has become just as big as Bajaj Auto itself over the years. Interestingly, while Bajaj has continued to refresh the other Pulsar motorcycles in the lineup, the RS200 has been left alone.

Bajaj Pulsar New Teaser; What Could Be It?

The new teaser reel leaves quite a fair bit to the imagination, with the exhaust note of the engine being the only thing known for now. The design bits and specifications are being kept under very tight wraps. However, there are a few things that can be inferred.

Pulsar RS200 Facelift?

If this is an RS200 facelift, we can expect the design to feature minor cosmetic tweaks, along with new colour schemes. The current semi-digital instrument cluster will most likely be replaced by a new fully-digital LCD unit, with bluetooth connectivity, navigation, call/SMS alerts, and ABS modes being among the few things likely to come along.

The 199.5cc liquid-cooled engine is also likely to continue with the same output figures, producing 24.1bhp at 9750rpm and 18.7Nm at 8000rpm. This still places it against the Hero Karizma XMR. The frame and braking hardware is also likely to remain unchanged. However, we can expect Bajaj to add new USD forks at the front.

A Pulsar RS400 Incoming?

In the comments section of this teaser reel, the bikemaker has hinted towards a 'racer' that is headed our way. If this upcoming Pulsar is an RS400, we can expect a fully-faired sport bike sharing its platform with the NS400Z, featuring the same 373.2cc liquid-cooled engine. However, we can expect the engine's tuning to be slightly altered.

In terms of hardware, we can expect it to retain the 320mm front and 230mm disc brake setup with dual-channel ABS, along with 43mm USD forks and a 6-step adjustable monoshock, and 17-inch wheels on both ends. The probable RS400 could also share the same digital instrument cluster with smartphone pairing and four ride modes.
