If there's one mid-size SUV that comes to mind offering a plethora of features, multiple engine options and the value for money quotient then it is the Hyundai Creta. The SX variant was the most sorted variant of the Hyundai Creta as it offered plenty of things. If you have it then you know it. However, if you now want the SX variant then you can't because it is discontinued.
The South Korean carmaker launched a much more affordable SX Executive variant of the Creta. This one sits below the SX and is close to Rs 79,000 cheaper than it. In order to boost more sales, the carmaker will now direct more sales to the SX Executive. This discontinuation only hits the manual versions of the SX only. The 1.5L with IVT and 1.5L with 6-speed auto will be seen in the SX only.
Sharing details on the SX Executive variant then it is available in MT only. The 1.5L petrol priced at Rs 13.18 lakh and 1.5L Diesel at Rs 14.18 lakh. All prices stick to ex-showroom, Delhi. Both the engines generate 113 bhp while the torque figures for 1.5L petrol sticks to 144 Nm and 1.5L oil burner generates 250 Nm.
Sharing details on what's different on the SX Executive variant then it does not get the larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit. Similarly, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, signature BlueLink car technology and Voice command is also missed out.
As per our sources, the SX Executive variant is offered with a smaller 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system priced close to Rs 45,000. This fitment is carried from the dealer level and the added advantage is that the warranty will be safe. From the outside, it still continues with the huge panoramic sunroof but misses out on chrome door handles. Those are replaced by body-coloured ones.
The SX Executive continues with 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, automatic climate control, multi-function steering wheel, cruise control, push-button start/stop, power-folding ORVMs, LED headlights and more. Safety features on the Creta SX Executive include dual-front airbags, TPMS, rear parking sensors, ABS with EBD, traction control, ESP, Hill hold control and more.
