Royal Enfield used the spotlight of Motoverse 2025 in Goa to unveil the production-ready Flying Flea S6, marking the brand's next big step into the electric motorcycle space. While the earlier C6 was positioned as a city-friendly commuter, the S6 takes a very different approach, blending classic scrambler cues with a purpose-built off-road-friendly electric platform. RE Flying Flea S6 Design: Retro Soul, Electric Heart

The Flying Flea S6 immediately stands out because of its old-school scrambler silhouette. A round LED headlamp, a slim tear-drop tank, minimal side panels, wide handlebars, and tall stance give it a look that's hard to confuse with anything else in the EV market. Royal Enfield has added premium touches like a gold-finished upside-down fork and aluminium spoked wheels, reinforcing the motorcycle's dual intent of style and substance. The S6's hardware reveals its scrambler ambitions clearly. It uses a frame-mounted motor paired with a chain-driven setup and a notably large rear sprocket to maximise initial torque, ideal for rough patches and tight climbs.

The battery pack sits inside a finned magnesium casing designed for efficient cooling and lighter weight, both crucial for trail riding. Long-travel suspension with a USD fork up front, a monoshock at the rear, and 18-inch aluminium spoke wheels wrapped in block-pattern tyres give the S6 the ability to handle gravel, broken tarmac, and mild dirt trails. Dual disc brakes with switchable lean-sensitive ABS ensure safety both on and off the road.
Tech & Connectivity
A round 3.5-inch TFT touchscreen forms the centrepiece of the Flying Flea S6's cockpit. Despite its classic shape, the display runs a full-featured interface powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon processor and Royal Enfield's in-house operating system. It supports smartphone and smartwatch connectivity, remote vehicle stats, live navigation, media notifications and OTA updates.
Royal Enfield has equipped the bike with six riding modes, including a dedicated off-road mode, a custom user-defined mode, and forward and reverse crawl functions for manoeuvring through tight terrain. The S6 also integrates voice assist and is tied to RE's Vehicle Control Unit and NXP microcontrollers that manage torque delivery, traction, and power usage.

Battery, Performance & Range Expectations
Royal Enfield hasn't disclosed the battery size or power output yet, but based on its positioning, the Flying Flea S6 is expected to offer a real-world range of around 150 km. The battery's magnesium casing with exposed cooling fins hints at a focus on heat management and durability, two areas where electric motorcycles often struggle in Indian weather. The company has not revealed charging times either, but OTA update capability suggests that battery and power-delivery tuning could evolve even after launch.
Expected Launch Timeline & Pricing
Royal Enfield is expected to introduce the Flying Flea S6 in India toward the end of 2026, with sales likely beginning in early 2027. Early pricing estimates place it around Rs. 2.30 lakh to Rs. 2.5 lakhs, positioning it as a niche electric scrambler.
Verdict
The Flying Flea S6 is shaping up to be one of the most interesting electric motorcycles headed to the Indian market. In a segment dominated by city-focused EVs, the S6 brings a refreshing blend of heritage design, off-road confidence, and sophisticated electronics. It may not be a mass-market product, but that's precisely its charm, it caters to riders who want an electric motorcycle with character, capability and classic Royal Enfield identity. If Royal Enfield manages to deliver competitive range and pricing, the Flying Flea S6 could create a new niche of premium electric scramblers in India.
