What's The Issue?

Launched earlier this year in January, the Scram 440 is a successor to the Scram 411. Currently, some Scram 440 users have reported various instances where the Scram 440 fails to start after it has been turned off during a short halt at traffic signals. The problem has been traced to a faulty Woodruff key in the Magneto assembly. However, the issue is not that widespread, but it still poses a risk of being stranded unexpectedly on the road. Royal Enfield is proactively working to resolve the issue. Affected owners will be contacted by respective dealerships to book a service appointment to resolve the issue.
Moreover, to prevent further customer inconvenience, the manufacturers have temporarily halted the bookings and sales of the Scram 440. While an official announcement for resumption has not been out yet, it can be anticipated by June 2025.
