KEY HIGHLIGHTS
- The 2025 Octavia vRS will be brought in as a CBU.
- Much like its predecessor, the 2025 model will also come in limited units.
- The Octavia vRS will also be powered by a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine.
The Skoda Octavia vRS has been spotted testing in India, which suggests that the performance sedan is quite close to being launched, after making us wait for quite a long time. The Octavia vRS was shown at the 2025 Auto Expo earlier this year, and we can expect it to finally arrive later this year, albeit in a similar fashion as its German cousin, the VW Golf GTI.

2025 Skoda Octavia vRS Spotted Testing; Details

The Octavia vRS has been spotted in a nearly-empty looking basement parking lot, and there is no license plate on the car either. However, from what we saw at the 2025 Auto Expo, the design remains identical and it continues to feature the same sharp and angular design elements from the current-gen car sold globally. The lime yellow/green paint scheme continues to look wild, and it also retains the 19-inch Elias alloy rims as well.

Under the hood, the Octavia vRS is likely to offer the familiar 2.0-litre, turbo-petrol mill, churning out 261bhp and 370Nm of torque, paired to a 7-speed DSG transmission. The car maker claims it completes a 0-100kmph run in 6.4 seconds, which is marginally slower than the Golf GTI. The standard sports suspension is said to be lowered by 15mm, and it also gets an electronic differential. We also expect the Dynamic Chassis Control to be offered as standard.

In terms of features, the Octavia vRS will come with a 13-inch infotainment system, and the cabin will feature a sportier black and red treatmet. The dashboard will also feature decorative carbon strips and suede upholstery with red stitching. Some other features include a 10-inch instrument cluster, a powered tailgate, keyless entry/exit, welcome/goodbye signatures, and chassis mode settings among other things.
The car will also come with power-adjustable sport seats with memory function. While the massage function is offered globally, Skoda is likely not to bring it to the Indian-spec car in the interest of pricing.

We can expect the Skoda Octavia vRS to be launched later this year, and much like the Golf GTI, do not expect it to be available for too long after its launch.
Verdict
The Skoda Octavia vRS is one hugely awaited performance sedan, and if you remember from last time, this car has not been on sale for very long, which means you must be ready with your cheque books immediately once there is any whiff from the car maker officially!
