People who have been eyeing the Tata Harrier EV, your time has come! Tata Motors has released prices of the rear-wheel drive variants of its newest electric SUV. Those waiting for the all-wheel drive variants will still have to wait just a bit more till June 27.

Tata Harrier EV RWD Prices Out; Details

With the rear-wheel drive version, there will be three personas on offer, and we suspect there will be more to follow. The rear-wheel drive Harrier EV is being offered in five different variants, and here is the full price list (all prices ex-showroom);
- Adventure 65: Rs 21.49 Lakh
- Adventure S 65: Rs 21.99 Lakh
- Fearless+ 65: Rs 23.99 Lakh
- Fearless+ 75: Rs 24.99 Lakh
- Empowered 75: Rs 27.49 Lakh

The Harrier EV comes with two battery pack options; a 65kWh unit and a 75kWh unit. Specifictations for the 65kWh battery pack have not been listed yet, but the 75kWh battery pack comes with an MIDC-claimed range of 627km on a single charge, and it can be charged either via a 15A charger, a 7.2kW AC wallbox charger, or a 120kW DC fast charger. The DC fast charger takes a claimed 25 minutes for a 20-80% charge, while 10-100% charge from the 7.2kW AC charger takes a claimed 10.7 hours.
The rear-wheel drive variants of the Harrier EV come with an electric motor producing 234bhp and 504Nm of torque. This is significant, as this is the first rear-wheel drive car from Tata in many years, and that's largely due to the new Acti.ev platform it is built on, which allows for multiple configurations.

The cabin comes with a 10.25-inch instrument cluster with a similar UI as the Curvv EV and the Nexon EV, along with a 14.53-inch Samsung Neo QLED touch screen infotainment system, a blind view monitor, an digital IRVM with an in-built dashcam, a 540-degree camera, automatic climate control, 7 airbags, multiple voice assistants, an 8-way adjustable driver's seat, a 4-way adjustable co-driver's seat with boss mode and a lot more. Additionally, the Harrier EV comes with things like auto park assist, summon mode, reverse assist, and a level 2 ADAS suite as well.

Verdict
The Harrier EV's pricing, in the rear-wheel drive versions makes things quite interesting in this segment, especially as it goes up against the Mahindra XEV 9E. With the all-wheel drive variants slated to go even higher, it remains to be seen how this car will be received by the audience.
