
Tata Nexon EV has been the talk of the automotive industry for a while now. And this is because it'll be the most affordable electric SUV after the Hyundai Kona and MG ZS EV. Now, we've got our hands on the launch date of the Tata Nexon EV which is on the 28th of January.
This means that Tata Nexon EV launch date will be just six days after the company reveals the prices of its upcoming premium hatchback, Altroz. Sharing some highlights of the Nexon EV then it will be offered in three variants - XM, XZ+ and XZ+ Lux.

The EV will use Tata's Ziptron EV Technology and offers a 30.2 kWh battery pack. The motor produces a whopping 129 bhp along with 245 Nm of maximum torque. The driving range slated is 312 km and 0-100km/h sprint can be achieved in a mere 9.9 seconds. Top speed is locked to a genuine 120 km/h or about 125 km/h on the speedometer.

Also, what's new is that the Nexon EV will be the first connected car from Tata and it'll provide as many as 35 connected features. Currently, Hyundai Venue, MG Hector and Kia Seltos are the SUVs that come with this technology.

The 35 features include vehicle statistics, live location, driver's behaviour and more. Tata will call it ZConnect and has specially designed a mobile application for the same. The Nexon EV owners can check the vehicle's battery status, available range, nearest charging station and more.

Talking about the features of the Tata Nexon EV then it receives a large 7.0-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system. It'll support Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Furthermore, keyless entry, push-button start/stop, automatic climate control also makes to the list.

Other features like a sunroof, leather upholstery, automatic wipers and headlights are reserved for the top-spec XZ+ Lux trim. Also, Tata will provide two modes - Drive and Sport.
Like the other electric SUVs available, Nexon EV too will support fast charging. The battery can be juiced up from 0-80% in just an hour. And if you connect it with a standard 15A AC Charger then it'll take a good 8-9 hours to reach its fullest potential.
