Triumph Motorcycles is on a roll. This year, even amidst the coronavirus pandemic, this Premium British two-wheeler manufacturer is launching multiple new motorcycles in the Indian market. Till now, in 2020, Triumph Motorcycles have already launched the new Tiger 900 series, Street Triple series and more. Now, it's time for something big, very big. The company has just launched the new Triumph Rocket 3 GT BS6 in India at Rs. 18.40 lakhs, Ex-showroom Delhi. It will be available in two colours - Silver Ice & Storm Grey and Phantom Black. Here are some more details about it.

Triumph Rocket 3 GT BS6 Price in India

The new Triumph Rocket 3 GT is the touring-oriented version of the Rocket 3R which is already on sale in the country. The Rocket 3R was launched in the Indian market in December 2019. The Rocket 3R and the Rocket 3 GT are very special motorcycles. These motorcycles feature a 2500cc mill, which is the world's largest production motorcycle engine. Triumph says that the new Rocket 3 GT is built to deliver astonishing performance and it boasts of effortless touring capability. This gigantic motorcycle has slightly different riding ergonomics compared to the Rocket 3 to offer sublime comfort.

The new Triumph Rocket 3 GT shares its mechanicals and powerplant with the Rocket 3R. So, the new Rocket 3 GT is powered by a new BS6-compliant 2500cc, in-line three-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. This motor churns out 167 PS of maximum power at 6000 RPM and a whopping 221 Nm of peak torque at 4000 RPM. The new Rocket 3 GT is around eleven per cent more powerful than its predecessor and it delivers an astounding 71 per cent more torque than its nearest competitor. It is worth mentioning that the Rocket 3 GT delivers the highest torque on any production motorcycle yet. Also, it gets four different riding modes - Road, Rain, Sport and Manual.

The new Rocket 3 GT has been built around an aluminium frame with an innovative design to optimise its weight. Talking about weight, it weighs around 40 kilograms lesser than its predecessor and the kerb weight is around 310 kilograms. This giant motorcycle gets fully adjustable Showa suspension at both the ends to deliver great riding comfort and exceptional touring capability and handling. It gets 47 mm upside-down (USD) forks at the front and a mono-shock absorber at the rear. Some other features of the motorcycle include a TFT instrument cluster, cruise control, all-LED lights, keyless ignition, hill hold control, IMU-based traction control and cornering ABS, heated grips, Triumph Shift Assist, TPMS and many more.

It is a legend in itself. The Rocket 3 GT completes the Rocket range which has the roadster and touring variants. With this, we also strengthen our BS-VI offering in India to 13 motorcycles which is the largest BS-VI line-up in the premium motorcycle space in India. Lastly, talking about the price, so the new Triumph Rocket 3 GT BS6 is priced at Rs. 18.40 lakhs and the bookings are already open.
