Czech Automaker Skoda has officially stopped taking bookings of its flagship SUV Kodiaq in India. The brand has not stated the reason behind halting the bookings of the current generation model. We anticipate that Skoda India might be planning to bring the new-gen Kodiaq to India soon, Ahead of the launch of the new-generation model, the brand appears to pull the plug on the current generation. 2024 Skoda Kodiaq - Coming Soon
The new-generation Skoda Kodiaq will feature major cosmetic changes and feature updates as compared to the current generation model. On the exterior, the new generation Kodiaq boasts a subtly redesigned headlamp assembly with a horizontal LED DRL, a slimmer fog lamp assembly, a black signature Skoda grille, and a redesigned front bumper. The bonnet also gets new lines to make it look more stylish.
The side profile of the SUV now features contoured ORVMs, and squared-off wheel arches with an option of new 17-inch to 20-inch alloy wheels in the global model. The side profile is further enhanced by the optional Dark Chrome treatment on the D-pillar. At the rear, it gets a new interconnected LED tail lamp design, a wide tailgate, redesigned rear bumper with an integrated diffuser among other highlights.
On the interior, the SUV gets an all-new dashboard design with a new 13-inch floating touchscreen infotainment, new aircon vent design, three knobs with a digital display below the infotainment screen, a digital instrument cluster, a two-spoke steering wheel, a 13-speaker Canton sound system, virtual cockpit, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, wireless charging among other features. Safety features include 9 airbags, ADAS, and 360-degree camera among other features.

2024 Skoda Kodiaq Engine Options
In the international market, the new-gen Kodiaq comes with 4 powertrain options a 150 bhp 1.5-litre turbo petrol mild-hybrid motor, a 150 bhp 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine, a 193 bhp 2.0-litre diesel motor, and a 1.5-litre turbo petrol hybrid engine with 204 bhp of power. Transmission options include a 7-speed DSG and a 6-speed DSG gearbox. Moreover, the new-gen Kodiaq comes with FWD and 4WD drivetrain options.
Verdict
Currently, Skoda India was selling the Kodiaq in a single L&K trim. The upcoming model is expected to come in different variants and with petrol and hybrid powertrain options. The Skoda Kodiaq Facelift is anticipated to break covers in the next few months, and the suspension of online bookings suggests that it may occur soon. The pricing is expected to start at Rs 39 lakh (ex-showroom).
