What To Expect Outside?

The upcoming Mahindra Thar facelift will borrow a few styling cues from the bigger sibling, the 5-door version. But it will retain the same 3-door rugged stance. It has been spied in the past, based on those, the most noticeable update that you can make out is the new front grille with horizontal slats. This grille is flanked by C-shaped LED DRLs along with a projector headlamp setup, giving it a bit more premium look. Just below that, the bumper has been redesigned along with more chunkier skid plate and not just this, the fog lamp housing has been reworked. Meanwhile, this facelift is expected to get a new set of alloys.
What's New Inside?

The cabin of the 2025 Mahindra Thar is expected to be a bit more modern. Taking centre stage will be a floating 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Mahindra has also rearranged the power window switches to the doors, freeing up space on the centre console. This revised layout makes room for a wireless charging pad, adding a practical touch. Notably, this facelift is expected to get a level 2 ADAS suite. Expect minor tweaks to upholstery and trim finishes too, giving the cabin a more premium vibe while keeping it functional for both city drives and off-road adventures.
Powertrains

Mahindra has chosen to retain the proven engine lineup for the 2025 Thar facelift. The SUV continues with rear-wheel-drive as standard, while a shift to four-wheel-drive remains available for those seeking true off-road freedom. Transmission options are unchanged, too, with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic across the range. Under the hood, it will continue with three engine options: a 1.5-litre turbo diesel unit, a 2.2-litre diesel unit and a 2.0-litre mStallion turbo petrol unit.
